This policy ensures that all users engage in fair, honest, and ethical academic practices, preserving the value and credibility of ATARise results for all students.
Academic integrity is fundamental to the educational mission of ATARise. Your mock exam scores and ATAR predictions are only meaningful if they reflect your genuine abilities.
When completing any timed assessment, mock exam, or practice test on ATARise, you must:
The following actions constitute violations of this Academic Integrity Policy:
Collusion
Working with others on individual assessments, sharing answers during or after an exam, or coordinating to gain an unfair advantage.
Plagiarism
Copying answers from external sources, including textbooks, websites, AI tools, or other students.
Unauthorised Materials
Using notes, textbooks, calculators (unless permitted), or reference material during closed-book assessments.
Multiple Accounts
Creating or using multiple accounts to sit the same exam more than once, view answers, or manipulate rankings.
Content Distribution
Sharing, photographing, recording, or distributing exam content in any form (social media, forums, etc.).
Impersonation
Having another person complete an assessment on your behalf, or completing one for another person.
System Exploitation
Using browser developer tools, scripts, or technical means to manipulate the exam environment.
AI Tool Misuse
Using AI chatbots, language models, or automated tools to generate answers during assessments.
Time Manipulation
Starting an exam to preview questions, then restarting under a different session or account.
False Reporting
Falsely reporting technical issues to receive extra time or additional exam attempts.
ATARise employs multiple methods to detect and prevent academic dishonesty:
Behavioural Analytics
Monitoring for unusual patterns such as impossibly fast response times, identical answers across accounts, and abnormal score distributions.
Focus Detection
Tracking browser tab switches and window focus changes during timed exams.
Session Integrity
Verifying single-device, single-session exam completion with IP and device fingerprinting.
Statistical Analysis
Identifying anomalous performance patterns that deviate significantly from established profiles.
Community Reporting
Investigating reports from other users about suspected violations.
Violations of this policy are handled through a four-level escalation system:

Within 14 days of receiving the violation notice, email integrity@atarise.com.au with the subject line "Academic Integrity Appeal — [Your Name]".
Provide Evidence
Include any technical issues, explanations, or documentation that supports your case.
Review Timeline
Appeals are reviewed within 10 business days by an independent review panel.
Decision
You will receive a written decision. The panel may uphold, reduce, or overturn the original consequence.
Final Decision
The panel’s decision is final and binding.
