Question 1

What is ATARISE?

Accepted Answer

ATARISE is a new VCE exam preparation platform launching in Victoria. We offer statewide simultaneous mock exams with detailed results and marker feedback, along with tools for teachers and schools to assign exams and track class and cohort performance — currently focused on VCE subjects.

Question 2

Who is ATARISE for?

Accepted Answer

ATARISE is designed for VCE students in Years 11 and 12 preparing for their final exams. We also serve teachers who want to assign exams and review class results, and schools seeking cohort-wide analytics. Student accounts are created by schools.

Question 3

How is ATARISE different from other VCE prep platforms?

Accepted Answer

ATARISE is building the first platform offering simultaneous statewide mock exams that replicate real exam conditions. We're starting with VCE subjects, combining mock exams, detailed results, and school analytics into a single, unified platform.

Question 4

Which VCE subjects does ATARISE cover?

Accepted Answer

ATARISE is launching with 9 core VCE subjects: English, General Math, Math Methods, Psychology, Business, Health, Human & Development (HHD), Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. We're actively developing content for additional subjects across all study areas. Join our waitlist to be notified when your subject becomes available.

Question 5

Is ATARISE available outside Victoria?

Accepted Answer

Currently, ATARISE is focused on the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and ATAR system. We have plans to expand to other Australian states and territories (HSC, QCE, WACE, SACE, TCE) in the future. Sign up for our newsletter to be notified when we launch in your state.

Question 6

How do I get started with ATARISE?

Accepted Answer

ATARISE accounts are created by schools. Students sign in with the access code provided by their school, and school staff are invited by their school administrator. Schools that are new to ATARISE can register on our school registration page to get started.

Question 7

How do I get an account?

Accepted Answer

Accounts are created by schools. If you're a student, sign in with the access code your school gives you. If you're a teacher or staff member, your school administrator will send you an invitation. Schools that are new to ATARISE can register at atarise.com.au/register-school.

Question 8

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Accepted Answer

Click 'Forgot Password?' on the login page, enter your registered email address, and we'll send you a secure reset link. The link expires after 60 minutes for security. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact support.

Question 9

Can I change my email address or personal details?

Accepted Answer

Staff can update some personal details from their account settings. Student details are managed by your school, so ask your school administrator or contact support to update them. If you change your email, you'll need to verify the new address via a confirmation link. Some fields (like your school affiliation) may require contacting support to update.

Question 10

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Student accounts are managed by your school, so ask your school administrator to request deletion or contact our support team. This action is permanent and will remove all your data, including exam history and results. For students under 16, a parent or guardian must approve the deletion. We process deletion requests within 30 days in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act.

Question 11

Is my personal data secure?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We use bank-level encryption (AES-256) for data at rest and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. Your data is hosted on Australian servers by Supabase. We are compliant with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and have additional protections for under-18 users. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Question 12

How do simultaneous statewide mock exams work?

Accepted Answer

All students sit the same exam at the same time, just like real VCE exams. You'll see a countdown to the start time, join the exam lobby, and begin when the timer reaches zero. The exam has a fixed duration, and submissions are collected automatically when time runs out. This format enables accurate statewide ranking and ATAR prediction.

Question 13

When are mock exams scheduled?

Accepted Answer

Mock exams are scheduled at regular intervals throughout the school year, with increased frequency closer to the VCE exam period. You'll receive email and in-app notifications at least 7 days before each exam. Your dashboard shows all upcoming exams with countdown timers.

Question 14

How long does it take to get my results?

Accepted Answer

Multiple-choice questions are marked automatically and results are available immediately after the exam. Short-answer and extended-response questions go through our marking panel and results are typically available within 24–72 hours. You'll receive a notification when your full results are ready.

Question 15

What happens if I lose internet during an exam?

Accepted Answer

ATARISE automatically saves your answers every 30 seconds. If you lose connection, your progress is preserved. When you reconnect, you can resume from where you left off with the remaining time. If a widespread outage occurs, we reschedule the exam and notify all participants.

Question 16

Can I review my exam answers after the results are published?

Accepted Answer

Yes, once results are published, you can review your complete exam paper, see the correct answers for MCQ sections, and read marker feedback on written responses. This review helps you identify areas for improvement and is a key component of the ATARISE learning cycle.

Question 17

How are exam ranks calculated?

Accepted Answer

Your rank for each exam is based on your score relative to all other students who sat the same exam. Ranks are shown once enough students have completed the exam, and you can track how your results change from exam to exam.

Question 18

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Apple Pay via our secure payment processor (Stripe). All transactions are encrypted and PCI-DSS compliant. We do not store any card details on our servers.

Question 19

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. There are no lock-in contracts. Contact our support team to cancel and you'll keep access until the end of your current billing cycle. We'll never charge you after cancellation.

Question 20

Does my subscription auto-renew?

Accepted Answer

Yes, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual). You'll receive a reminder email 7 days before renewal. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time by contacting our support team, without affecting your current access.

Question 21

What's your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you're not satisfied within the first 30 days, contact our support team for a full refund — no questions asked. After 30 days, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. See our full refund policy at /legal/refund.

Question 22

Do you offer financial hardship support?

Question 23

How can teachers use ATARISE?

Accepted Answer

Teachers are invited to ATARISE by their school administrator. Teacher accounts provide a dedicated dashboard for managing classes, assigning exams, reviewing student results and class analytics, and sending announcements. Teacher accounts are separate from student accounts.

Question 24

How do schools get started with ATARISE?

Accepted Answer

Schools register for ATARISE and then set up accounts for their staff and VCE students. School administrators get a dashboard with class management, exam assignments, results, and cohort analytics. Contact our team to discuss access for your school.

Question 25

Can schools track individual student performance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The school dashboard provides both cohort-wide analytics and drill-down views for individual students. Teachers can see exam results, class performance, and areas needing attention. All data respects student privacy settings and parental consent where applicable.

Question 26

Can teachers assign exams to their classes?

Accepted Answer

Teachers can assign the available ATARISE exams to specific classes. Results from assigned exams feed into the same class analytics dashboard, so you can review performance by student and by topic.

Question 27

What browsers and devices are supported?

Accepted Answer

ATARISE works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge (latest 2 versions). We support desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. For the best exam experience, we recommend a desktop or laptop with a stable internet connection. Mobile apps for iOS and Android are planned for a future release.

Question 28

I'm experiencing a technical issue. How do I get help?

Accepted Answer

Contact our technical support team by emailing support@atarise.com.au or visiting our contact page. Include your browser version, device type, and a description of the issue.

Question 29

What internet speed do I need for mock exams?

Accepted Answer

We recommend a minimum internet speed of 5 Mbps for a smooth exam experience. ATARISE is designed to work on standard Australian broadband connections. The platform uses minimal bandwidth and automatically saves your progress, so brief connectivity interruptions won't affect your exam.

Question 30

Does ATARISE work offline?

Accepted Answer

ATARISE requires an internet connection for core features like mock exams and results. Your exam answers are saved automatically, so brief connectivity interruptions won't affect your progress.
